(This time was recommended by teachers on the planning committee as it coincides with “nap” time for students who can be monitored by the classroom aide at this time.  This is convenient for teachers who have after-school CARES responsibilities.  For those for whom this time is not convenient, the session will be recorded and sent to those who request it.)

Theme of Session:  Social – Emotional Learning.
Lisa, a presenter from Frog Street, will begin the session with ideas that can be used in the classroom based on the book written for Early Childhood classrooms:  Conscious Discipline by Becky Bailey.

Follow – up
Teachers will have time to share ideas on “best practices” that they have found helpful for social-emotional learning.  These ideas will later be posted on the aopelementary.org web site under Early Childhood.
